My coaching expertise lies in weightlifting and gymnastics, driven by a strong focus on proper techniques and quality movement. I’m dedicated to helping everyone, from beginners to seasoned athletes, master new skills and achieve higher performance levels.
Favorite workout: Anything involving a barbell.
Least favorite exercises: Wall balls and rowing.

George Dutton
Coach
With over 5 years of experience as a CrossFit Coach and an extensive sporting background, which includes playing high-level rugby and earning a degree in Sports Performance, I discovered my passion for CrossFit the moment I tried it. I was immediately captivated by the process of enhancing various aspects of fitness. As a coach, there’s nothing more fulfilling than helping individuals fall in love with the process and achieve their goals.
Olympic lifting is my favorite discipline to coach. It’s incredibly rewarding to witness members improve, attain new personal bests, and master the movements. Offering unique challenges, it requires tailored cues and corrections, as everyone exhibits different skills.

My CrossFit adventure began just a few years ago when my brother convinced me to try a class at a local CrossFit gym. Since then, I’ve been hooked and can’t imagine life without it. Initially, my preferred class was cardio-focused and barbell-free, which suited me well as I felt intimidated by the barbell and more experienced gym-goers. Today, however, I relish a good barbell session! When I’m not at the gym, you can usually find me hanging out with friends and family, listening to podcasts, or enjoying a delicious pizza.

Jamie
Coach
With eleven years of CrossFit experience, three team CrossFit semi-finals appearances, an undergraduate and master’s degree in sport science from Loughborough University, I am currently the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Wellington College. I was drawn to coaching as a way to share my enthusiasm for fitness with others.
My favorite aspect of coaching is the opportunity to meet diverse people and build lasting friendships at Gain Line.
Favorite lift: My preferences tend to fluctuate, but the back squat is a perennial favorite.
Favorite CrossFit workout: Elizabeth, for its appealing movement combination.
Least favorite workout: Workout 4 from the 2022 semi-finals – you just need to watch it to understand why! 😂

Chiara Silva
Coach
I pursued coaching because sports and CrossFit have been significant aspects of my life since I started CrossFit at age 12, alongside dancing. Passionate about helping others unlock their potential and accomplish things they never deemed possible, I cherish the opportunity to positively impact others just like my coaches did for me. I’m fortunate to have an incredibly supportive family, which extends to my wonderful team of coaches and teammates. Their unwavering support has been instrumental in shaping who I am today.
What do you enjoy most about coaching and what’s the biggest challenge? My favorite aspect of coaching is being part of the tight-knit CrossFit community and establishing meaningful connections. It’s immensely rewarding to witness members achieve their goals, whether it’s setting personal records or simply attending a session when they’re not feeling up to it. Contributing even in a small way to someone’s journey is truly fulfilling. My biggest challenge as a coach has been projecting my voice across large classes. To effectively deliver classes, I’ve had to adapt and ensure everyone can hear me.
Which movement do you enjoy coaching the most? I’m particularly fond of coaching gymnastics movements.
Your favorite lift and workout: My favorite lift is a Clean and my favorite workout is 18.4 CrossFit Open.

Training has always been a big part of my life. I started competitively fighting in K1 at the age of 13, which then developed into lifting and then became my full time job. I found Crossfit when I left fighting and felt lost with where I wanted to go with my training. I was drawn to the sport when I watched Crossfit live and was captivated by how strong and athletic these amazing athletes were. I have been hooked ever since!
What is your favourite thing about the job. For me being in the gym is not just my job but is also an environment I thrive in. Being surrounded by strong and like minded individuals everyday is such a privilege.
I absolutely love coaching athletes at all levels of experience but especially new athletes! Seeing the progression of a person learning is beautiful!
The joy and confidence that comes from moving your body is unmatched
Favorite workout: Lifting a heavy barbell will always be my favourite.
Least favorite exercises: Thrusters and assault bike… of course.
Advice for newcomers: Training and strength is like Lego, we have to have a solid foundation to build on top of, so make sure you master the basics so you can build from them. Enjoy the process and reflect on where you started!!

Coaching for me was just something that seemed to be a natural choice when my stint at playing professional Rugby came to an end.
Being surrounded by great coaches it opened my eyes to the impact a great coach can make on an individual.
